HealthConnect and Trizetto Sign SelectHealth as First Client for Jointly developed Quote2Card Product
End-to-End Sales Automation Can Reduce SelectHealth’s Sales Cycle Time and System Maintenance Costs
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. – April 13, 2010 – The TriZetto Group, Inc. today announced that SelectHealthSM, the health plan subsidiary of Intermountain Healthcare® serving nearly 500,000 members in Utah, contracted for TriZetto’s QuoteToCard end-to-end sales automation solution, integrated with TriZetto’s FacetsTM enterprise administration engine.
“We expect TriZetto’s product will reduce the quote-to-identification-card generation process time by more than 50 percent – from weeks to days,” said Mark Brown, vice president and chief financial officer at SelectHealth. “QuoteToCard will reduce the number of manual touch points, accelerate the sales and underwriting process, move new products to market faster and shorten the entire cycle.
“One of the primary reasons we selected TriZetto is the supported integration of the QuoteToCard solution with the Facets enterprise administration system,” said Brown. “This integration is expected to provide a materially higher return on investment than a stand-alone product with a custom interface to our core membership system. We spent several weeks with the TriZetto product strategy team reviewing our sales process, developing key stakeholder consensus on system requirements and quantifying our potential return on investment. The domain expertise demonstrated by TriZetto was tremendously beneficial in clarifying our strategy and selecting a solution.”

Both Brown and Grossman added that SelectHealth will benefit from improved transparency across the sales cycle. Brokers, consumers and SelectHealth users will have better visibility into the status of an application or enrollment.
SelectHealth has an internally built and maintained online system for small-group employer sales. Although the online system functions well, SelectHealth concluded that TriZetto’s QuoteToCard solution “would decrease system maintenance expense and improve speed to market with new products while sustaining SelectHealth’s strong product portfolio, competitive rates and high retention in both small-group and individual policy sales,” according to Brown.
SelectHealth’s individual market segment is expected to be online using TriZetto’s quoting and enrollment capability this summer. Small-employer business is expected to be live by the end of the year. Renewal functionality will deploy early next year to both the individual and small-group lines.
TriZetto launched its QuoteToCard solution in early March. The QuoteToCard product is a component of a larger suite of sales and service automation tools, including policy administration, online billing and commission capabilities and health insurance connector/exchange administration for health plans and state governments.
